Draft Minutes of November 6-7, 2020 Presbytery Meeting
This is the email sent out by Teresa Kendall on Nov. 27th
Subject: SPECIAL PRESBYTERY MEETING
Leadership Cabinet is scheduling a Special Presbytery Meeting on Tuesday, December 8th at 1:00pm by Zoom to cover the following business items:
1) Nominate RE Terry Johnson (Dillon) and RE Sandy Welch (St Andrew, Billings) to the Representative/Nominating Ministry Team.
2) Nominate members to the Stated Clerk Search Committee.
3) Make a motion to request that Yellowstone Presbytery form an Administrative Commission to be charged with the maintenance and disposition of the property and building of the former Federated Church of Harlowton, and to work with the United Methodist Church Conference.
Specific powers include:
The care of the building in the short term;
The disposal of the property and building, including possible sale;
The expenses of the building incurred by the UMC Conference be half-reimbursed to them for their expenses upon sale of the building;
This Administrative Commission be empowered to act on behalf of Yellowstone Presbytery.
4) Make a motion to request that the Leadership Cabinet be empowered to allocate the proceeds from the sale of the church property and building of the Federated Church of Harlowton as it deems appropriate.
Soon, the Leadership Cabinet expects to have the nominations for both the Stated Clerk Search Committee and the Administrative Commission. The Zoom link for this meeting and more details will be sent out closer to the meeting date.
